about
transmuta.
When we have options, we have possibilities.
As we move through life, wellness and community orbit around us changing and adapting to our needs and desires. Together we explore and play with an array of modalities that create a strong foundational collage of tools, care, and understanding. Sensory experiences, exploration and experimentation, movement and bodily partnering, therapeutic massage, conflict resolution, and creativity are all ways to learn more about who we are and how we are. It keeps us in constant dialogue with our body and spirit.
The hammock of support begins with self-awareness. When we deepen our understanding of self (bodily and process) we can better identify the roots of our needs and how to communicate them. This kind of audacious inquiry spills out into our environment: activism that overflows into community. It allows us to move through life with autonomy and mindfully relate to others and what their needs + wants may be.
At Transmuta we work together, emphasizing choice and collaboration rather than expertise and authority. Here we open up, and explore purposeful healing, find the magic in the mundane, and highlight what is new and interesting. Together we create safe and accessible spaces for creative and imaginative exploration and growth.
In sessions, I strive to co-create a space that is self-expressive, experimental + deep. I bring together training, intuition and open curiosity to support my clients. By combining movement in all systems of the body and psyche, I offer a truly holistic experience.
When I turned 14 years old my mom drove me to the local new age store to get my first tarot deck. It led me on a teenage ride into philosophy, existentialism, alternative health, astral projection, and yoga. First I studied cultural anthropology and photography, which offered me a culturally rich lens of looking at the world and people. I began more formal training in holistic health and wellness and graduated with a Massage Therapy and Spa Studies degree in 2010. In 2011 I received my Reiki Master Teacher training and completed the ISSA Fitness Training Program. Over the past 13 years, I’ve dedicated myself to personal transformation and continuing my education journey of the body, mind, and world to serve clients as a whole and not parts.
I am a Gestalt Professional Certified Coach certified through the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland pursuing advanced International Coaching Federation credentialing. While studying for my academic certificate in Conflict Resolution & Peace Studies, I became more civically engaged and interested in local issues particularly around the intersection of wellness, equity, and social justice. Food security, information, and resource access are deeply important to me in the way that I volunteer and interact with my community.
I’m currently seeking a certificate through the Ohio Peer Recovery Support Training program to deepen my practice of working with folks addressing harm reduction, addiction, and sobriety in the community.

The experiences I offer draw on a variety of traditions, whose origins I strive to honor. A great deal of importance is placed on not using borrowed or stolen language when presenting myself and work. Respect and awareness are crucial when engaging with holistic practices, and it is of the utmost importance to maintain their sacred nature and avoid exploitation and white-washing of such wellness practices. I am certified in the Western tradition of Usui Reiki introduced by Hawayo Takata of Hawaii who is of Japanese-American descent. I do not assume to know or practice other traditional styles or lineages of Reiki.
My intention is to help others feel their worth to develop self-awareness and to identify their basic needs. I work with clients as they are, without trying to change their feelings, modes of spirituality, or bodies. I understand that healing is not a commodity, and believe practices should be available to all. I strive to offer sliding scale when I can, so please reach out if needed.
